Continuing Legal Education

KCBA is an accredited MCLE provider offering members approximately 20 free seminars annually. Visit our online calendar to view our seminar schedule.

If your last name starts with N - Z, you must acquire 30 hours of MCLE credit including 6 hours of Professional Responsibility credit by June 30, 2019. If your last name starts with A - M, you must acquire 30 hours of MCLE credit, including 6 hours of Professional Responsibility credit by June 30, 2020.

Beginning with the two-year reporting July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019, and thereafter, the MCLE requirements changed. Illinois attorneys must still complete a total of 30 CLE credit hours, including six professional responsibility (PR/Ethics) credit hours. The change requires that attorneys must complete one credit hour of Professional Responsibility in Diversity/Inclusion and one credit hour of Professional Responsibility in Mental Health/Substance Abuse, and four credit hours of "General" Professional Responsibility for a total six Professional Responsibility credit hours. To assist members, KCBA recently updated its reporting structure to capture CLE hours in each of the required professional responsibility categories. Log into your account to view this enhancement.
